Defensible Space & Fuels Reduction
Shasta Tree Pro provides fire abatement, defensible-space, and fuels-reduction work in Redding and throughout Shasta County. Residential work may include removing dead material, reducing ladder fuels, thinning dense vegetation, pruning lower limbs, and improving vegetation separation.
Large-parcel work can combine mechanical treatment with hand crews for steep slopes, ravines, and areas machinery cannot effectively reach.
Large-parcel fuels reduction
Our crew completed approximately 60 acres of CAL FIRE cleanup and fuels-reduction work along the trail system at the BLM-managed Swasey Recreation Area. Work across steep terrain included hazardous-tree reduction and the consolidation of brush and woody debris to improve public safety and wildfire resilience.

Residential defensible space
Selective hand-crew treatment reduced continuous surface and ladder fuels across approximately five acres while retaining mature trees, selected shrubs, shade, privacy and the property's natural wooded character.
