Who will work on my trees?
Trenton personally evaluates the work and is on site pruning or supervising the crew. An ISA Certified Arborist® with credential WE-7732 and ISA TRAQ is on staff.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Shasta Tree Pro holds California contractor license CSLB #1076703 and carries workers’ compensation and $2 million liability insurance. Proof and additional-insured certificates are available whenever requested.
Do you use climbing spikes when pruning?
No. Spikes wound living tissue and are reserved for removals or appropriate dead-tree situations.
Do you top trees?
No. We use properly placed pruning cuts and recommend alternatives such as reduction, restoration or replacement.
How do I know whether to prune or remove?
We consider condition, defects, targets, species, remaining useful life and whether pruning or other mitigation can reduce the concern reasonably.
When is the best time to prune?
It depends on the species, objective and condition. Dead or hazardous limbs may need prompt attention; structural, flowering and restoration pruning can have different timing. Trenton will explain the timing that fits your tree.
What equipment do you use?
The method depends on access and what must be protected. The crew may climb, use controlled rigging, work from an 80-foot compact spider lift, or use tracked equipment where appropriate.
Do you remove all debris?
Yes, when full cleanup is included in the estimate. We can also leave chips or manageable firewood if you prefer, and stump grinding can be included in the scope.
Can I keep chips or firewood?
Yes. Cleanup options can be defined and priced in the estimate.
Do you perform defensible-space work?
Yes. We provide fire abatement, fuels reduction and post-fire rehabilitation.
Can I call about an urgent tree problem?
Yes. Call anytime about a fallen tree, split limb or tree presenting an immediate threat. For electrical hazards or downed lines, contact the utility or emergency services first.
Can you work near power lines?
We do not perform utility line-clearance work, but we can identify conflicts and help coordinate with the appropriate utility when necessary.
Do I need a permit in Redding?
Requirements depend on the property, tree and jurisdiction. We can help identify when the city, utility or another authority should be contacted.
